For some couples, choosing a wedding videographer is as easy as watching one film and knowing you have to have that person film your wedding. Others will weigh their options, their budget and their priorities for weeks. Here is a checklist of things to consider so that you can make your decision before your favorite vendor gets booked up!
Kristina & Zach have a beautiful relationship and the most beautiful wedding!
From our first conversation, it was clear that these two were putting a ton of effort into their wedding. A truly unique wedding, they got married in the backyard of Kristina's family vacation home in the Catskill mountains on a beautiful fall day in early October. The two spent months along with the help of family and friends getting the property into perfect shape for the big event. They built their wedding arch and several wooden refreshment bars by hand. There were so many personal touches all throughout the property creating a beautiful, rustic theme.
Since filming my first wedding in 2015, I have worked for a handful of local and national wedding brands. Some sent me off on my own to film an entire wedding, for others I was a second shooter. For one reason or another these jobs were never enough for me. The pay, the amount of work; I always wanted more.
Here we go! First full year in business for Jessalyn Meehan Films.
I launched JM Films in the Summer of 2018 and after a busy Fall season, went full-time in time for the holidays. At the time we were 3/4 of the way to our minimum booking goal. The amount that would justify quitting the day job. Now in February, we've hit that first milestone and will be slowing down the amount of weddings we book going forward.
This season has been insane! After working in wedding videography for a couple years, I officially launched Jessalyn Meehan Films at the end of July 2018 and rapidly booked up my Fall 2018. Editing weddings every night after work, filming new weddings every weekend and continuing to book weddings for 2019 allowed me to quit my day job just a few short months after launching.
Andrew and Jaleen hired me MONDAY for their wedding on SATURDAY! No problem! Rather last minute than not at all. Video is a last minute for a lot of couples. We understand that wedding budgets are challenging enough, but if preserving your vows, your first look, your speeches with audio and visuals is important to you, there are ways to make it work. Your wedding only lasts one day, but your video will last a lifetime.
Theresa & Jordan were the perfect couple to officially launch Jessalyn Meehan Films.
Their entire wedding took place at the historic and stunning Adelphi Hotel in downtown Saratoga Springs. Theresa and her girls got ready in a gorgeous, open suite upstairs. The ceremony took place out back on the grass in 93 degree heat! Cocktail hour was on the patio and the reception was in a private banquet room.
